Difference between ‘effect’ and affect’
‘effect’ is used as a noun; for instance: the effect of medicine on the patient is severe
‘affect’ is used as a verb; for instance: the medicine affected the patient severely.
Confusion with ‘opposite’ and ‘apposite’
We often pronounce ‘opposite’ and ‘apposite’ and most of the English users don’t know that ‘apposite’ as a word exists separately. ‘opposite’ is pronounced with the sound of ‘o’ , and it means ‘contrary’. On the other hand. ‘apposite’ is pronounced with the sound of ‘a’ and means ‘appropriate’.
